About

b. 1986, HK.

Covi. combines spirituality, sensefulness, and intelligence into each, carefully-crafted bar. The rapper and producer, out of Portland, OR, has brought back thoughtfulness to rap, in a new way, during his ascent to prominence. With his laid back personality and focused lyrical content, he’s found a way to become a conscious force for the new school that’s reflected in the intense, introspective aesthetic of his music. He’s at the beginning of an extremely important career.

Covi. got into rapping because of his musical parents playing music around him consistently. Dad would play hip-hop (specifically west coast hip-hop), g-funk and funk while Mom would play R&B, Soul and all of the Oldies our parents grew up loving. At just eleven years old, he realized that he wanted to create this magical brand of music and set along on a lifelong path of creating, studying, and conceptualizing hip-hop in new and exciting ways. He released his first song in 2009 while in a class specifically for music production and kept going afterwards, determined to make an imprint on the music industry that would be felt for generations to come.

So far, he’s realized that mission — and then some. His burgeoning fanbase has been gifted with three projects of therapeutic raps that explore the intersection of smoothness and the shape of Covi.’s ID — explaining who he is as a human and trekking his growth with carefully thought out lyrics. His life’s events are explored and recounted in vivid detail to the point that you can feel the after effects on your chest after each intense listen.

Positivity is the core tenant of Covi.’s philosophy. He wants his music to teach fans that resilience is key to success and to be optimistic for their life’s path. In that way, he’s a rapper and therapist — constantly creating the environment to see healing from fans while making it sound great each time.

Covi.’s success isn’t by accident — it’s a byproduct of having a one-of-a-kind sound and an industry that’s looking to go in a more realistic, optimistic direction that people can feel across age groups, social classes, and belief systems. Covi.’s story is lengthy, but it’s only just begun.
